Founded in 1967, the Cinema Theatre Association promotes interest in and study of our important heritage of cinema buildings - from “flea-pit” to multiplex. The Association also campaigns for the preservation of the finest of the remaining historic examples. Visits for members to cinemas (and theatres) are arranged. and members receive a bi-monthly bulletin of news and events and a fully illustrated annual, “Picture House”.
For well over a century, the London Topographical Society has been publishing material relating to the history and growth of London, including reproductions of historic maps, plans and views. Original research appears in our newsletter (which is printed by The Ludo Press) and books.
The London Underground Railway Society exists to study all areas of London’s Underground Railway- past, present and future. The LURS was founded in 1961 & has been growing ever since. To keep members informed, the LURS publishes Underground News every month. This illustrated journal is intended to keep members informed about all areas of London’s Underground & LURS activities.
The Association of Laryngectomee Clubs has almost 100 clubs nationwide offering a range of services to larngectomees and their families and carers.
